How It Works

Under normal conditions, the jockey pump maintains the preset pressure in the fire pipeline. When pressure drops due to water discharge (sprinkler or hydrant operation), the main pump starts automatically. If electrical power fails, the diesel-driven standby pump activates to sustain system pressure, ensuring continuous protection.
